1. The Wild Blue, The Men And Boys Who Flew The B-14s Over Germany,by Steven Ambrose,    
    c. 2001 by Simon & Shuster. The story of George McGovern who was a Liberator pilot in
    Italy during the same time period as our crew. A very vivd picture of what it must have been
    like for the airmen and a fine trubute to the boys.      
2. The Soldier - Consolidated B-24 Liberator Photographs by Dan Patterson, text by Paul
    Perkins and Michelle Crean, c.1994 by Howell Press Inc. A must have for the B-24 enthusiast. This
    volume contains many wonderful interior shots of a B-24J, still flyable. Not restored, it looks much as
    it might have while still in service during WWII. (66 pages)
3. Liberator - Consolidated Vultee, c.1989 General Dynamics Corp. Another favorite of mine. This
   book was issued by General Dynamics in 1989 to mark the 50th anniversary of the B-24s maiden
   flight. If you can find a copy, it's a gem. It features the B-24J maintained by the
    Collings Foundation listed in the sites above. General Dymanics funded much of the
    restoration of the aircraft. (60 pages)

9. B-24 Liberator in Detail by Bert Kinzey c. 2000 by Detail & Scale. This is a modeler's
   reference book and has many photos of B-24 details and interiors. I'm not a modeler, but I
   found a lot of useful information in this book. (79 pages)
10. Log of the Liberators by Steve Birdshall c.1973 by Doubleday & Company, Inc. The    illustrated    combat record of the B-24 Liberator and the men and units that flew them. Over
   250 photos. (340 pages)
11. B-24 Liberator 1939-45 by Martin W. Bowman c. 1979 and 1989 by Patrick Stevens Limited,     England. The history of the B-24 Liberator with many fine photos. (136 pages)
12. Willow Run, Colossus of American Industry by Warren Benjamin Kidder. c.1995 KFT
    Lansing, Michigan. An exhaustive history of the Ford Willow Run plant with many photos and
    production data. Benjamin Kidder's parents owned the land the factory was built on. To order,
